• Postpartum Care (read modules, watch videos & complete any learning activities you feel will help your understanding – especially the questions!)
• Play Postpartum/Newborn game – (read the “How to Play” before starting “New Game”
  • need to get a 90% – print off/save the summary report at the end and upload it to Canvas. You can play the game multiple times to improve your score.

**Answer the following questions (use good paragraphs- minimum four sentences each) and submit your answers to the Canvas drop-box:

1. What are your thoughts and feelings while you cared for Betty in the post-partum unit? Did anything surprise you?

2. Did you play the game more than once and if you did, how was this helpful to you? How long did it take you each time you played?

3. How did you feel in the role of the nurse during this simulation?

4. Share what you learned in relation to establishing a therapeutic nurse client relationship with Cameron and Betty. 
5. Name one wrong decision you made during the simulation and explain why it was not the correct intervention. What would you do differently next time?

6. As you worked your way through this simulation, did you find yourself going to other sources to learn more about post-natal nursing care? If you did go to others sources, what types of things did you review to help increase your knowledge?

7. In summary, the learning outcomes were:

• Apply components of a post-partum assessment while identifying the physiological and psychosocial changes that occur during this period.
• Identify normal findings, abnormal variations, and potential complications during the postpartum assessment.
• Assess and evaluate postpartum home-care needs.
