Toxic Substances Info Sheet

In this module, you’ve been provided with a broad overview of a
variety of toxic substances this discussion, you will select one specific chemical to
investigate – BPA, Arsenic, and Formaldehyde are just a few examples. You will create a
single page education sheet – appropriate to an eighth grade audience to highlight the dangers
of the chemical, where it can be found, how to avoid, etc. This can be a Word, Publisher or
other type of file. If using something other than Word, please be sure to save it as a PDF so
that it can be easily opened. Be creative and be sure to make your info sheet visually
appealing! Sections must include the following: Chemical, where it is commonly
found/encountered, what are known and suspected health hazards, who is most at risk (if
appropriate), methods to mitigate or avoid exposure, and any other pertinent info.
