To further the discussion, the researchers applied the Change-Specific Cynicism Scale that was validate by a Canadian population in 1998. The scale was then adapted for a Romanian population. The results of the study determined that the scale has high internal consistency (α=0.84) to imply that change specific cynicism is a valid concept and the scale can be applied across different populations to measure the concept as a reflection of resistance to change within an organization. The article is useful in understanding resistance to change within an organization and the position that cynicism presented by personnel plays in the resistance.
